Is Roseland Neighborhood in Chicago a Safe Neighborhood?

I was born in the Roseland area, he moved when he was young b / c my cousin was shot in the street then maybe I answer my own question, but wondered how the severity of the Roseland area now ? I thought the purchase and rehabilitation of housing in the region. I was considering the possibility of life in a house I do the work. He wondered how the area is really now a few days? By the way I am white and I really do not mix in the neighborhood, if that matters.

Roseland aka “the hundreds” aka “the WILD WILD hundreds” is not a very safe area. In fact it’s probably the worse neighborhood in Chicago. A big majority of the shootings you hear about on the news happen in Roseland.

I’m sure you heard the story of the teenage boy that was killed earlier this year while riding the bus to school. He was a police officer’s son. Some kids got on the bus with guns and started shooting. He jumped in front of a female friend of his trying to protect her and got shot and killed – they even showed parts of his funeral on the news. That was in Roseland.

Of all the neighborhood you could choose, I would by no means recommend that one.
