Yes.

Pick an online mortgage broker like Lending Tree or eLoan. You can specify your down payment amount as a $ amount or percentage of total purchase price. Your rate will go up with a down payment less than 10 or 20%, but you’ll still end up with banks providing competitive quotes.

Given the recent pricing adjustments in the entry end of the Chicago home market, you’re probably good in your timing to buy a carefully selected home. Forget the rent-to-own scam and go buy yourself a nice home!

Yes its true, we just bought a house in California for $400,000, with $0 down & our credit wasn’t the best. We moved in 10 days ago. I don’t know about the Chicago area, but it might be worth finding out. Good Luck!!!
