Despite the housing crisis across the country over the past two years, the number of home sales in North Chicago, have continued to increase. The area is both quiet and beautiful because it is dotted with beaches and public parks and residents have the highest median income in the city. Several districts in the north of Chicago are the Gold Coast, Old Town, Lincoln Park, Lakeview and lake view. If you want to live in the north and is willing to pay the lowest prices for real estate, research houses that are farther away from downtown.
West Chicago

Crime has increased by some districts to the west, while property values are increasing in others. Make sure you do your research if you are looking for a house in West Chicago.
South Chicago
